About Me

Hi there!

I’m Kunal Mehta, and I’m currently immersed in the enriching world of Human Centered Design (HCDE) as a graduate student at the University of Washington in Seattle. You can call me Kunal, and my pronouns are he/him.

As a passionate advocate for accessibility in technology, I’m currently serving as a Research Intern at the Taskar Center for Accessible Technology. My academic journey has been shaped by my training in HCDE and my time as an MBA candidate at one of India’s premier business schools. This dual perspective allows me to seamlessly bridge the gap between user needs and business objectives.

With a diverse background spanning utilities, financial services, and not-for-profits, I bring a unique and holistic perspective to every project. In my previous role at an upcoming art museum, I spearheaded the establishment of accessibility and inclusion initiatives, underlining my commitment to making technology and experiences accessible to all.

I firmly believe in the accessibility-first approach to User Experience (UX). My blend of education, professional experience, and unwavering passion positions me as an ideal candidate for roles in UX research, product management, and accessibility program management.

Outside the world of design and technology, you’ll often find me exploring different coffee varieties, immersing myself in sports action, or getting lost in the pages of a favorite book. Life is a journey, and I’m excited to continue exploring and contributing to the intersection of design, technology, and accessibility.
